About The Event Gear Company
The Event Gear journey started all the way back in February 2001 when I, the CEO was fresh out of college, graduating with a two year diploma in Advance Sound Engineering, and had just been offered my first real job with then Mersey Sound.
Starting at the bottom as a “know it all” junior technician I worked myself up over the years to being second in charge. Luckily along the way I had some great mentorship and irreplaceable industry experience. Thirteen years later I made the owner an offer on the company and he accepted. The Event Gear company are technical specialists in the area of event sound systems and audio visual equipment, as well as other events hiring you might have.
That was the 1st of January 2015 and it feels like the Event Gear journey is going from strength to strength in the sound, audio-visual and lighting industry.
From doing Event Gear/equipment hire in Johannesburg, we have grown and do sound system hires, rent our staging gear, lighting equipment hire and more.
